What is Retina Detachment surgery?
Retina detachment is treatable by surgery.
Small suture less incision are made on the sclera.
Vitreous (Jelly like substance inside the eye) is removed and the break in retina is identified.
The fluid under the retina is drained and laser is done to the break.
A tamponade in the form of SIlicone oil or gas is used to help attach the retina back in place.
